I'm feeling very homesick. I miss my lovely husband and my beautiful cats. But luckily I'm not all alone here! There's someone living inside my tummy. Yes, I'm going to be a mum. :)
I have no idea if it's a boy or a girl, but I'm working on a dress anyway. And I've bought a couple. So if it's a boy, it will be a beautiful boy! ;)
I finished these overalls maybe a month or two ago, but they still need buttons. Maybe I'll just skip finding the perfect buttons and just use the ones I have here with me.
And I've made a hat, soaker pants, and a sleep sack. With owls. And mittens to match them, probably booties or socks too, a little later. :)
Oh, and I've got too many projects in my head - projects that I'd love to start right away. A cardigan, a pullover - no, two pullovers - a couple of blankets... How many blankets can a baby have? I'm starting to get the feeling that all our cupboards will be full of blankets and there won't be any room for clothes. Oh, well, maybe we'll just have to start weaking blankets, then.
Oh, and toys. I want to crochet toys.

Oh, autumn... Hey, where did you go?
I've been enjoying some beautiful, sunny autumn days and their exquisite colours. Maples are my favourite kind of trees and it must be because of their autumn colours why I love this time of the year. But, before I noticed, the days were turning bleak. And I realised I hadn't taken a single photo! So finally I took some, but a little too late. The colours weren't what they had been a while ago. It's getting colder all the time, and although it's raining now, I think there will be snow soon.
A dear friend of mine had her birthday a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't be there to celebrate it with her, but I made her these. I miss her. They're made of Finullgarn's Rauma, the Ravelry project can be found here.
And, this was also a couple of weeks ago. I do like certain traditions, and I think the Swedish Kanelbullens dag - a day dedicated to cinnamon rolls - is a good one. I enjoyed a cappuccino and a large cinnamon roll with a friend at Café Linné Hörnan, a cosy café here in Uppsala. The lovely kanelbulle made me forget that I should take some photos inside the beautiful café. Well, here's one from the outside.

New town, new yarn
I finally decided to take my chance and study abroad! Uppsala is a beautiful town full of history, lovely people and interesting things to study. I've also found a lovely yarn shop, YlloTyll.
I've also been knitting like a maniac, even when I should be studying! It's quite worrying, really. October starts tomorrow and the weather's got very chilly. Luckily I managed to knit a beret and a matching pair of mittens in time!
I really like the pattern on the beret, you can also wear it inside out!
And as for the owls... Sweet little owls! I think they're really cute, but they're sleepy owls. I didn't add beads for their eyes, so now they have their eyes closed. Maybe they wake up during the night and go outside, flying around and hooting.
The summer's over but my favourite flowers are still blooming!

Tea, yarn, cats.
My annual blog post, it seems! I've been rather busy with my studies and I haven't really had the time or energy for blogging. I haven't accomplished much lately, knit-wise or any other wise.
I've been crocheting these little things (they actually are very small!) and it'll take some time before I can make them into a (huge, I'm hoping) quilt. When I do, I'll let you know.
Still knitting the first sock. Novita Florica, with a lovely cuppa.
Miss I wanted to say hello to the camera!
Oh, and I've been to the cinema today - I saw the film Cloud Atlas. And I hate to admit that I haven't read the book. But I will. I loved that film. Strange, complicated, sad and beautiful. I can warmly recommend.
I hope I'll be back soon with some more stuff to tell. And I hope there'll be some progress with my knitting.
